These small Burmese Lacquer containers are skillfully hand made and delicately painted. The tradition of making lacquerware has been handed down through generations with villages being dedicated to the craft. It takes time to apply numerous layers of lacquer to the hand made container. The lacquer had to be dried carefully. The outer colors show the craftsmanship involved. Each piece has its' own unique design. These make a great gift and can hold that special piece of jewelry.
